Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and forward-thinking Support Worker to join our team at The Kent Autistic Trust. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with autism, learning disabilities, and related difficulties in our community-based services.
Key Responsibilities- Support individuals with daily living tasks, such as personal care and hygiene, and assist with medication administration.
- Encourage independence and promote equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of care.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with individuals, their families, and other staff members.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to a safe and supportive environment, adhering to health and safety protocols and company policies.
- Positive attitude and a commitment to providing high-quality care and support.
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, and be available for sleep-in shifts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with individuals and colleagues.
- Knowledge of autism, learning disabilities, and related difficulties, or a willingness to learn and develop your skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
