Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our User Support Services (USS) Team as an Apprentice IT Support Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality IT support to our users, helping them to resolve their technical issues and improve their digital confidence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide first-line IT support to users, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Work collaboratively with the USS Team to identify and resolve technical issues, and to develop and implement solutions to improve the overall user experience.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of our IT systems and services, and provide guidance and support to users on their use.
  • Participate in the development and delivery of training and awareness programs to promote the effective use of IT systems and services.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our IT support services, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance the user experience.
Requirements
  • Hold a valid passport/birth certificate or residence permit.
  • Have the right to live and work in the UK.
  • Must have lived in the UK and/or EEA for 3 years prior to apprenticeship start date or meet one of the relevant exemption criteria.
  • Not be in full-time education or be undertaking another apprenticeship by the apprenticeship start date.
  • You must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level in a similar subject.
  • You must hold GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above or complete and pass a functional skills test.
