Strategic Programme Lead

About the Role
Hargreaves Lansdown is seeking a highly skilled Programme Manager to join our Investment and Programme Office, which sits within finance. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of programmes of change that underpin key elements of HL's corporate strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, initiate, execute, and close major programmes that impact HL's strategy and business performance
- Manage end-to-end delivery of programmes (£5m), aligning initiatives to the Vision and OKRs, and optimising return on investment
- Lead a cohesive programme team, spanning multiple HL functions with different third parties
- Lead and coach Business Owners to articulate their strategy and shape it into objectives and outcomes for business cases suitable for review by the CEO and CFO
- Capture, track, identify, and manage complex risks and inter-dependencies across the programme that are critical to success
- Support a high-performance culture to ensure better, simpler, faster, and cheaper deliverables for HL and our clients
- Contribute to a culture of collaboration and efficiency through team interactions and maximising the use of tools and data
- Challenging the status quo and delivering industry best-in-class standards as an expert 'change agent'
- Holding others to account and seeking higher authority when escalation is required
- Contributing to thought leadership to evolve our ways of working in a pragmatic way
- Being approachable and proactive in helping others
- Working in the open and sharing with others to accelerate delivery across HL
- Providing coaching and support to less experienced colleagues and championing a community of practice for programme delivery
About You
You will hold expertise in:
- Strategic Programme Planning and Delivery
- Programme and Agile delivery methodologies
- Delivering highly complex change in business-to-business and/or business-to-consumer environments
And experience in:
- Defining, establishing, and facilitating governance structures to keep key stakeholders engaged, aligned, and on track across the business (up to Executive level)
- Managing relationships and processes that are key to delivery, including business case development, client experience, product strategy, business solution design, technical and operational readiness
- Regulated business complex programme planning, management, and governance
- Streamlining processes and ways of working
- Influencing stakeholders at Executive Leadership level
- Being flexible and adaptable; able to deliver and thrive in ambiguous situations
This role requires a curious nature, exploring new ways of working and questioning the details to gain full clarity on what is required to achieve goals.
Interview Process
The interview process will include a presentation, psychometric assessment, and a competency-based interview.
Working Schedule
We are looking for several Programme Managers to join our team, based in Bristol head office, BS1 5HL. This role is a permanent, full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We offer a hybrid flexible working pattern.
