Mental Health Support Worker

This exciting opportunity is for an Occupational Therapy Assistant to work in a medium secure setting for individuals with learning disabilities.
You will be part of a dynamic team providing occupational therapy services, working closely with Occupational Therapists and other healthcare professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have a basic knowledge of Occupational Therapy principles and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- To contribute to the occupational therapy advice, intervention, and support provided to service users and their carers.
- To facilitate occupationally based groups as identified by an Occupational Therapist.
- To promote a culture of engagement in meaningful occupation within the service, enhancing quality of life.
- To provide feedback to the team regarding observed occupational performance during sessions, contributing to assessment and therapeutic interventions.
- To maintain clinical records using the electronic patient record system.
Salary: £24,071-£25,674 per annum (pro rata) + 5% of basic salary (min £1,192 max £2,011)
