About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team in the London Borough of Newham. As a SEN TA, you will provide specialist 1:1 support to learners with ASD, focusing on life skills development and enabling them to achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Student Support: Assist students in developing their social, emotional, and cognitive abilities, promoting a positive learning environment that values diversity and inclusion.
  2. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with teachers and other educational professionals to create individualized plans that meet the diverse needs of students.
  3. Professional Growth: Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance your knowledge and skills in safeguarding, SEN awareness, and child development.

Requirements:

  1. Education: Hold a degree in Special Needs, Psychology, Education, or a related field (advantageous).
  2. Experience: Prior experience working with children or young people is preferred but not essential.
  3. SEN Expertise: Demonstrate sound knowledge and understanding of Special Educational Needs.

Salary and Benefits:
