Job Description

Salary: £29,777 (25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays, Local Government Pension Scheme)

As a Career Coach, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of clients with diverse challenges, including mental health issues, disabilities, substance misuse, offending backgrounds, and skills gaps. Your primary objective is to support these individuals in overcoming their barriers and achieving sustainable employment.

  1. You will conduct thorough initial assessments to understand each client's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
  2. Based on the assessment findings, you will develop and agree on SMART action plans with clients, setting clear goals and objectives.
  3. Your role also involves engaging with employers to identify and promote suitable employment opportunities for clients.
  4. In addition, you will provide up to six months of in-work support for clients who successfully secure employment, ensuring sustained progress.
Skills and Qualifications
  • 2 years proven experience as an Employment Advisor or Job Coach.
  • Proven track record of supporting unemployed individuals into work.
  • Skilled in developing person-centred SMART action plans.
  • Ability to manage complex caseloads.
