Restaurant Operations Manager

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bistro Restaurant Manager to join our team at Admiral Recruitment. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading the shift and ensuring that our customers receive an exceptional dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shift Leadership: Organize and supervise all aspects of the restaurant's daily shift, ensuring that all service points and food service hosts are prepared and ready for business.
- Food and Beverage Service: Supervise the preparation and delivery of high-quality food and drink service to our guests, ensuring that every dish meets our standards.
- Team Management: Ensure that team members understand their responsibilities for the shift and provide support to achieve them.
- Catering Events: Plan, organize, and deliver bespoke catering events held within the Beacon, exceeding customer expectations.
- Customer Service: Own the restaurant bookings and reservation system, responding to customer queries promptly and efficiently.
- Communication: Provide and support clear communication between all team members, both FOH and BOH.
- Quality Control: Oversee the standard and quality of all food and drink, ensuring that every item served meets our high standards.
- Administrative Tasks: Create weekly rotas, complete reporting, and support with other administrative tasks as required.
- Culture and Collaboration: Drive a 'One Team' Culture, promoting positive collaboration with the Foodhall supervisor through sharing and developing food service teams.
Health and Safety:
- Food Safety and Health: Act as a food safety and health champion at all times, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Risk Management: Ensure timely reporting of all risks, supporting proactive completion of corrective action plans.
- Team Awareness: Ensure team members are aware of all menu content allergens to protect customers.
People Development:
- Training and Development: Support the delivery of regular training sessions on service, standards, selling, and creating moments.
- New Joiner Induction: Support the induction and training of new joiners and upskilling of existing team members.
- Recruitment and Progression: Promote ISS as the employer of choice through effective recruitment processes, ensuring internal progression and development.
- Employee Wellbeing: Champion company wellbeing, CSR, and engagement initiatives, supporting timely and fair completion of HR and disciplinary processes.
Financial Management:
- Sales Growth and Cost Savings: Provide input to identify sales growth and cost-saving initiatives to achieve financial targets.
- Financial Administration: Understand and adhere to financial procedures, including weekly stock checks and order placement.
Requirements:
- Experience: 2 years' experience in a good standard restaurant operation, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a high-end food service supervisory role.
