About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Transformation Specialist to join our Finance Transformation team at Ocado Retail Ltd. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in driving our Finance change and transformation programme, ensuring that all financial accounting, reporting, and regulatory requirements are fulfilled.

Key Responsibilities

- Accelerate month end close by 3 days within the next 6 months
- Rationalise MEC journals to eliminate, standardise, simplify, and automate
- Support BAU teams to implement these initiatives
- Take ownership of delivering specific initiatives
- Improve the accuracy, robustness, intelligence, and flexibility of cash flow forecasting outputs across Ocado Retail
- Work closely with heads of Finance to implement previously identified opportunities to optimise cash efficiency

Requirements

- Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) or an exceptional part-qualified candidate
- Exceptional problem solver with demonstrable experience of transforming sub-optimal processes via simplification, standardisation, and automation
- Proactive, ambitious, self-motivated individual who derives purpose and motivation from making an impact within tight timelines and with high visibility to senior leaders
- Great communicator who enjoys working with a variety of stakeholders across Finance
- Ability to simplify complexity both in terms of communication style but also in terms of converting complex problem statements into simple, focused, and clear solutions
- Takes a hands-on approach to problem solving
- An aptitude for systems and comfortable with thinking about how to approach and implement automation of existing manual processes
- Comfortable working within a medium to large, fast-paced, complex, customer-focused environment
- Proven track record of influencing change within an organisation
