Senior Pharmacy Assistant

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Senior Pharmacy Assistant to join our Infection and Immunity team at Barts Health NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating the repeat prescription service for HIV patients, working closely with the HIV clinical support technician and HIV specialist pharmacist.
Main Duties- Coordinate the day-to-day operation of the repeat prescription service for HIV patients.
- Perform pharmacy top-up services of stock medicines within the service.
- Ensure effective communication between patients and the multi-disciplinary team.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to relevant legislation, including Health and Safety, GDPR, and confidentiality principles.

Person Specification- GCSE grades A-C or 1-4.
- NVQ Level 2 in pharmacy services or committed to undertaking.
- Demonstrate knowledge of commonly used medicines.
- Demonstrate ability to perform relevant calculations.
- Demonstrate ability to problem-solve and use initiative.
- Prior experience within HIV/Sexual health.
- Experience of office systems, including Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
- Interpret and dispense prescriptions accurately.
- Experience of JAC.
