**Job Overview:** Reeson Education is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a welcoming mainstream primary school in Balham.

**Job Type:** Full-Time, Long-Term

**Salary:** £28,000 - £32,000 per annum

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will provide dedicated 1:1 support for a child in Year 5, working closely with the teacher and other staff members to implement learning plans and strategies that meet the child's individual needs.

You will foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, using effective strategies to help the child engage with the curriculum and achieve their goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with a Year 5 pupil, providing tailored support to meet their individual needs.
  • Assist in implementing learning plans in line with the child's EHCP (Education, Health, and Care Plan).
  • Use effective strategies to help the child engage with the curriculum and achieve their goals.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and other staff to ensure the child's progress and well-being.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience working with children with special educational needs, preferably in a 1:1 setting.
  • Skills: Strong communication, patience, and the ability to build positive relationships with children.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with strategies for supporting children with SEN, including autism, ADHD, or other needs.
  • Commitment: A reliable, proactive, and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about supporting children's development.
