About the Job

We are seeking an experienced and empathetic Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with complex needs and helping them to overcome challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to students with SEMH needs, promoting social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Assist teachers with lesson planning, delivery, and assessment, ensuring that students receive a high-quality education.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on student progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience working with children with SEMH needs, either in a teaching or support role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Calm and patient demeanor, with a strong emphasis on de-escalation techniques.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is £28,000-£32,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also receive a range of benefits, including access to ongoing training and professional development opportunities, as well as a comprehensive employee assistance program.
