London, Greater London, United Kingdom Remedy Education Full time

A mental health specialist role has become available at Remedy Education, where you will be working closely with students who require support managing their emotions and psychological needs.

This position is ideal for a Psychology graduate looking to build experience working with children who face trauma, neglect, attachment issues, and anxiety. You will play a vital role in helping these pupils regulate and process their feelings, enabling them to cope independently in the future.

As a Teaching Assistant, your duties will involve collaborating with the class teacher and other experienced staff members to educate the pupils, while also managing any challenging behaviours that arise. You will work on a one-to-one basis with students to ensure they stay on task and identify potential triggers for their trauma and mental health needs.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Psychology graduate to gain valuable experience working with children in need of mental health support. You will help facilitate various therapeutic techniques and employ restorative practices aimed at promoting mental wellbeing. Additionally, you will have the chance to work alongside Psychologists and Therapists based at the school, enhancing your skills and knowledge.

The ideal candidate will possess a proactive and friendly approach, with a genuine passion for mental health. Previous experience working with children and/or adults with additional needs would be beneficial but not essential.
