Job Title: Highway Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Highway Supervisor to join our team at Marlborough Highways. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient execution of highway maintenance and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate teams of directly employed and subcontracted labor to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Develop and implement risk assessments and method statements to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Manage and liaise with subcontractors as necessary to ensure projects are delivered to the required standard.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating any potential risks or issues.
  • Collaborate with the contract manager and operations manager to ensure projects are commercially viable and meet the required standards.
Requirements:
  • Prior supervisory experience in a highway maintenance or construction setting.
  • Understanding of highway maintenance contracts and terminology.
  • Ability to generate and deliver monthly reports and other management information.
  • Driving license.
  • Strong background in health and safety policies and procedures.
