Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Mental Health Support Professional to join our team at Academics Ltd. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable students with social, emotional, and mental health challenges.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates or soon-to-be graduates looking to gain valuable experience working with children in a Specialist SEN School setting.

You will work closely with our experienced team to provide high-quality support and interventions that promote the well-being and academic success of our students.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and have a passion for supporting individuals with special educational needs.

In this rewarding role, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a supportive and collaborative environment, while making a positive impact on the lives of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide individualized support and interventions to students with social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
  • To work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans.
  • To maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in regular review meetings.
  • To contribute to the development of a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., psychology, education, social work).
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN) is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
