Academic Midwifery Specialist

We are seeking an outstanding Academic Midwifery Specialist to join our team at City, University of London. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering innovative education across our midwifery and perinatal health programmes and modules.
The ideal candidate will have academic and teaching experience in the field of midwifery, and will be able to design and deliver high-quality teaching that is informed by research, scholarship, and professional experience.
The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the development of our undergraduate, postgraduate, and CPD provision, and will have opportunities for personal and professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver innovative education across our midwifery and perinatal health programmes and modules
- Design and deliver high-quality teaching that is informed by research, scholarship, and professional experience
- Contribute to the development of our undergraduate, postgraduate, and CPD provision
- Supervise dissertation work at undergraduate and postgraduate level
- Act as personal tutor to students
Person Specification:
- Registered with the NMC as Midwife
- Honours degree in a relevant field
- Experience in teaching and supporting student learning
