Job Description

The post holder will be responsible for delivering high-quality, safe midwifery care to women, while working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will have experience of working in all clinical areas and possess up-to-date evidence-based practice and knowledge of national and local developments in maternity care.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Plan and implement individualised midwifery care that is centred on the needs of women, pregnant people, children, and families.
  • Ensure all risk assessments and referrals are completed, actioned, and documented.
  • Follow midwifery/obstetric guidelines where appropriate and liaise with the multidisciplinary team to implement patient care, reporting any deviations from protocols.
  • Participate in continuous professional development, including mandatory training and online learning.
Requirements:
  • Current NMC Registered Midwife
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Experience of working in all clinical areas
  • Up-to-date evidence-based practice and knowledge of national and local developments in maternity care
