Eastbourne, East Sussex, United Kingdom Hastings Voluntary Action Full time

Becoming a Women's Community Support Specialist with Hastings Voluntary Action means contributing to enhancing safety, health, and wellbeing for women across East Sussex. This role involves delivering an intensive, relationship-based model of support on an outreach basis.

As a key member of our team, you will work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams, utilising the expertise of Hastings Voluntary Action to drive good practice. Your primary focus will be on improving outcomes for women on your caseload, while also contributing to the wider systems change aims and outcomes of the Changing Futures project.

The Changing Futures initiative is a national effort aiming to improve outcomes for adults experiencing multiple disadvantages, including combinations of homelessness, substance misuse, mental health issues, domestic abuse, and contact with the criminal justice system.

In this position, you will be responsible to the WASS Service Manager and work 35 hours per week within normal office hours. Occasional out-of-hours work may be required, with regular travel across East Sussex. You will be based in our Eastbourne office but will need to be mobile throughout the region.

This is a fixed-term contract ending in March 2024. We anticipate a salary of around £28,000 - £32,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

We are looking for someone who can bring their skills and expertise to contribute to the success of our project. If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of women and have experience working in social services or a related field, we encourage you to apply.
