Job DescriptionThis is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Women's Support Specialist. In this role, you will work with women who have experienced domestic abuse, substance misuse, mental health challenges, and housing issues. Your primary responsibility will be to provide high-quality support and care to our residents, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with vulnerable individuals, particularly those experiencing domestic abuse, substance misuse, mental health challenges, and housing issues. You will possess excellent communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work effectively in a multi-agency environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized support and care to residents, including risk assessments, care planning, and implementation.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive support and services are provided to residents.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local agencies and organizations to ensure access to resources and services for residents.
- Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A good understanding of domestic abuse and its impact on survivors.
- Experience working with vulnerable individuals, particularly those experiencing domestic abuse, substance misuse, mental health challenges, and housing issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Empathy and compassion when dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
