About The Role

We are seeking a Weekend Support Worker to join our team at St Mungo's. This role involves providing trauma-informed support to vulnerable adults in Bristol as part of the Bristol Out of Hours Service (BOOHSI).

Key Responsibilities
  • Support lead workers and work with clients to plan and deliver engaging weekend activities.
  • Provide vital support and assistance to clients, being available to listen and address their individual needs as they arise.
  • Develop a good knowledge of relevant protocols and safety precautions to handle emergency situations effectively.
  • Carry out building and welfare checks, administrative tasks, and incident reporting.
  • Participate in training and development to ensure confidence in providing person-centered support to clients.
  • Work on a weekly shift rota, typically on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am-3pm, with some additional bank holidays.
About You
  • You have an understanding of the issues affecting vulnerable adults and people experiencing homelessness.
  • You possess experience in helping people identify personal goals and supporting them through change.
  • You have good communication skills and experience dealing with complex situations.
  • You can plan and manage your time effectively, following administrative procedures and maintaining accurate records.
  • You are willing to work independently when required.
