About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team in Wolverhampton. As a key member of our Quality department, you will be responsible for coordinating health and safety across the site, ensuring compliance with UK HSE regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and implement updates in safety regulations, laws, and reporting requirements.
  • Provide technical safety and health support to employees to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Coordinate and analyze risk assessments, near misses, and accident data to present to senior management.
  • Lead health and safety meetings, present data, and maintain progress on actions.
  • Identify, design, and develop company health and safety management systems, training programs, and procedures.
  • Conduct health and safety inductions for employees, agency employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Conduct internal audits, workplace inspections, and work with auditors and vendors to address findings and complaints.
  • Inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards and ensure safety and environmental regulation compliance.
  • Review plans and specifications for new machinery, equipment, or processes to determine whether all safety requirements have been met.
Requirements
  • NEBOSH General certificate is essential; IEMA certification is advantageous.
  • 2 years of experience in a similar role is beneficial.
  • Health and safety experience or exposure to health and safety in a fast-paced warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • Current First Aid/CPR First Responder Training is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft applications and IT literate.
