We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our team at Cygnet Hospital Wolverhampton. In this role, you will work closely with the Head of Psychology to provide high-quality psychological care and support to our patients.

You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive psychological assessments, developing effective care plans, and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development and evaluation of mental health programs, as well as participate in administrative tasks, such as data collection and analysis.

About the Team

Cygnet Hospital Wolverhampton has a full multi-disciplinary team (MDT) and supports the acute needs of adults requiring rapid access to mental health services. Our team is committed to delivering high-quality care and support to our patients, and we are looking for like-minded individuals to join us.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and formulate care plans for individuals requiring acute and intensive mental health services
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Develop and implement individual and group therapy programs
  • Contribute to the development and evaluation of mental health programs
  • Participate in administrative tasks, such as data collection and analysis

Requirements

  • Good degree in Psychology
  • Further postgraduate training in relevant area of applied psychology and mental health
  • Previous experience working within mental health services and settings
  • Enhanced DBS check and reference checks
