The role of a Mental Health Professional in our Primary Care team involves working with skilled clinicians to develop and improve services for individuals with common mental health problems in primary care.

This includes supporting adults over 18 years old, offering one-to-one and group evidence-based psychological therapies. The successful candidate will join our integrated community services, which bridge the gap between NHS Talking Therapies and Community Mental Health Services.

As a member of our team, you will have a high level of autonomy working across designated GP practices, managing your own clinics. You will review patients presenting with mental health issues, consider treatment options, and provide specialized advice on care when necessary. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with service users, GPs, and other healthcare professionals.

We are seeking an experienced mental health professional with a strong knowledge base and clinical judgment. You will deliver Primary care recovery-focused Psychological Interventions, assist with In-Reach Model delivery, and support service users through transition from secondary care mental health services.

Main Duties:

  • To be the first clinical point of contact for the service, effectively screening, assessing, and working with service users
  • To work in partnership with service users to assess their mental health needs using sound knowledge and clinical judgment
  • To deliver evidence-based brief interventions and Primary care recovery-focused Psychological Interventions

Person Specification:

  • NMC Registered Nurse in Mental Health or equivalent registration
  • Minimum 12 months post-registration experience in mental health
  • Minimum of 6 months community mental health experience required

Estimated Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
