Care Manager Opportunity at The Oaks

We are seeking a dedicated and ambitious Care Manager to join our team at The Oaks, a luxurious 73-bedded nursing home in the area.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Clinical Lead Nurse and deputising for the Registered Manager in their absence. You will also provide supervision and training to our Nurse Senior Carer and Care Assistant colleagues, ensuring a safe, caring, stimulating, and homely environment for our residents and their visitors.

You will work closely alongside our Clinical Home Manager and Clinical Nurse Lead to maintain our reputation for exceptional standards of care, utilising the latest care planning and nurse call technology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting the Clinical Lead Nurse and deputising for the Registered Manager in their absence
  • Providing supervisionsupport and training to Nurse Senior Carer and Care Assistantcolleagues
  • Ensuring a safe, caring, stimulating, and homelyenvironment for residents and their visitors
  • Supporting withrecruitment and retention, including interviewing
  • Working tooperational and financial KPIs, including supporting the HomeManager with regular reporting on areas such as occupancy, staffvacancies, and agency spend

Requirements

We are looking for an individual with proven supervisory experience in a residential or nursing care setting, excellent communication and leadership skills, an enthusiastic and flexible approach to work, and a keen interest in professional development. A good grasp of management reporting using basic Excel spreadsheets is essential. A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care is required, and further qualifications may be necessary.
