Job Title: Teaching Assistant for Alternative Provisions

Location: Bournemouth, Dorset

Job Type: Full-time, Long-term, Temp to perm

Salary: £85.00 - £95.00 per day

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team in an alternative provision setting. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with behavioural challenges to develop the skills they need to succeed academically and behaviourally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build positive and supportive relationships with students
  • Implement behaviour management strategies to help students improve their behaviour and self-regulation
  • Assist teachers and staff in creating a safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students, both inside and outside the classroom
  • Collaborate with teachers, counsellors, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized behaviour support plans
  • Document and track student progress
  • Attend training sessions and professional development to enhance your skills
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all students at all times
Requirements
  • Experience working with students with behavioural challenges is desirable
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Patient, resilient, empathetic, and has a genuine desire to help students succeed
