Acute Medicine Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Acute Medicine Consultant to join our expanding team at Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Urgent Care Division, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our Acute Medicine service.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of our patients. As a Consultant in Acute Medicine, you will be responsible for leading ward rounds, supervising junior doctors, and contributing to the development of clinical processes to improve patient outcomes and experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead ward rounds on the Acute Medicine Unit, supporting junior doctors and the multidisciplinary team.
- Post-taking patients within the Emergency Department and Acute Medicine Assessment Centre.
- Supervise patients returning to the Acute Medicine Assessment Centre (ambulatory clinic).
- Acute Medicine outpatients.
- Educational and clinical supervision of junior doctors.
- Attend and contribute to departmental and medical meetings.

Requirements

You will also need to be able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and contribute to the development of clinical processes to improve patient outcomes and experience.
