Job Title: Housing Services Manager

Are you passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and making a positive impact in your community? We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Housing Services Manager to join our team.

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated individual to lead the delivery of patch-based services for our customers, ensuring neighbourhoods are desirable and safe places to live. As a Housing Services Manager, you will be responsible for handling tenancy-related queries, providing direct tenancy support, and ensuring the effective marketing of vacant homes.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the delivery of patch-based services, ensuring neighbourhoods are desirable and safe places to live.
  2. Handle tenancy-related queries, liaising with colleagues to ensure consistency in service delivery.
  3. Provide direct tenancy support, ensuring tenancy sustainment.
  4. Ensure the effective marketing of vacant homes, allocating properties that meet customer and business needs.
  5. Undertake rent account management, balancing customer and business needs, and taking court action as a last resort.
  6. Respond to anti-social behaviour and tenancy breaches, undertaking timely investigations and appropriate action.
  7. Ensure safeguarding concerns are dealt with promptly and appropriate action is taken.
  8. Record all contacts, tenancy activity, and customer interactions onto our housing management systems.

Requirements:
  1. Commitment to continued professional development.
  2. Experience of working in the housing sector or a similar role.
  3. Understanding of estate and tenancy management, with experience of delivering tenancy management services.
  4. Ability to work in a customer-focused environment, delivering high-quality customer service.
  5. Organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise workload.
  6. Adaptability and ability to use customer relationship management software systems.
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  8. Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
  9. Able to work safely and effectively in field-based settings.
  10. Commitment to coaching and relationship management, with people skills and the ability to work with stakeholders.
  11. Resilience and emotional intelligence to manage challenging situations.
  12. Commitment to face-to-face and virtual training sessions, and e-learning.
  13. Understanding of community challenges and opportunities, with a passion to advocate on behalf of people and communities.
  14. Ability to work flexibly and outside normal working hours when needed.
  15. Professionalism and integrity, with a commitment to inclusivity and respect for diversity.
