Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Health and Wellness Professional to join our team as a Health and Safety Manager. This is a full-time position working on an ongoing project in East London or Cambridge.

Responsibilities
  • Co-ordinate, support, and advise on all aspects of health and safety within the company.
  • Establish and manage standards, processes, communications, training, and systems to ensure adherence to health and safety responsibilities.
  • Role responsibilities:
    • Create a safe workplace environment without risk to health.
    • Adhere to and regularly review, update, and communicate health and safety policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
    • Meet statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to health, safety, and welfare at work.
    • Complete and regularly review risk assessments for all work equipment and operations.
    • Document, investigate, and recommend improvements for accidents.
    • Carry out safety inspections, report fire drills and alarms, and manage safety inspections, risk assessments, and lone working procedures.
    • Develop health and safety policies, systems of work, and procedures.
    • Maintain full and accurate health and safety and training records.
    • Implement a full programme of documented health and safety inspections, audits, and checks.
    • Develop a structured programme of health and safety training throughout the company.
    • Liaise with external health and safety consultants to provide training programmes and health and safety services.
    • Chair and formulate minutes for Health and Safety Committee meetings.
    • Complete agreed action points within deadlines.
    • Stay up-to-date with relevant health, safety, and welfare at work legislation and communicate changes to the business.
    • Report on relevant health and safety activities to the Human Resources Manager, Board of Directors/Senior Management Team.
    About the Salary

The estimated salary range for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
