Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and independent individual to join our panel reviewing school exclusion appeals in East Riding of Yorkshire.

The successful candidate will be responsible for examining cases where parents contest the governing body's decision to uphold a child's permanent exclusion from a school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing cases and making informed decisions based on evidence presented
  • Working collaboratively with other panel members to ensure fair and consistent outcomes
  • Providing clear and concise written reports summarizing findings and recommendations

Requirements:

  • A strong understanding of education law and regulations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
