Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Independent Panel Member, reviewing school exclusion appeals in East Riding of Yorkshire.

The successful candidate will be responsible for examining cases where parents contest the governing body's decision to exclude a child from school permanently.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing case files and attending appeal hearings to gather information and evidence
  • Evaluating the merits of each case and making recommendations based on the evidence presented
  • Collaborating with other panel members to ensure consistency and fairness in decision-making

  • A strong understanding of education law and regulations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team

What We Offer:
