Job Description

Eden Brown is seeking an experienced Energy Infrastructure Development Specialist to lead the delivery of major capital energy projects, including decentralised energy, renewables and energy efficiency measures.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the delivery of complex energy projects, managing a team of project managers and overseeing external consultants. This role requires strong project management skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Lead the delivery of major capital energy projects, including decentralised energy, renewables and energy efficiency measures.
  • Team Management: Manage a team of project managers and oversee external consultants.
  • Procurement and Contract Management: Oversee procurement processes, including OJEU-level procurement, and manage complex contracts.
  • Financial Management: Manage capital budgets of up to £50m, ensuring value for money and continuously seeking additional sources of funding.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, ensuring everyone is aware of their responsibilities, timescales, and project status.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in construction, engineering, or energy-related field, or substantial proven experience in a similar role.
  • Professional qualification in project management.
  • Experience of managing a team of project managers and consultants, overseeing procurement and contract management, and managing capital budgets.
  • Excellent knowledge of district heating schemes, renewable energy, decarbonisation, and energy efficiency measures.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. Benefits include a competitive salary, comprehensive training, and opportunities for career advancement.
