Job Title: Assistant Director of Strategy

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Strategy to join our team at Hays Technology. As a key member of our IT leadership team, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining the University's overall technical architecture to meet the strategic objectives of the university.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain the University's technical architecture to support the operational needs of staff and students.
  • Lead a small team of Technical Architects and Business Analysts to ensure the technical architecture is cost-effective and secure.
  • Stay up-to-date with external drivers and new technology developments to keep the architecture current and updated.
  • Develop the technical architecture to support the totality of the university's functions, balancing strategic direction, function, quality, supportability, security, and cost.
  • Manage the information security risk of the university and define and execute the rolling project portfolio to meet the defined strategic and tactical aims.

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate qualification (or equivalent experience) in a relevant subject.
  • Proven knowledge of techniques to model business operations.
  • Expert knowledge of IT systems across the whole ISO seven-layer model.
  • Experience in information management and information security principles.
  • Highly developed skills in prototype and proof of concept management.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, including change management methods to introduce innovation and new processes.
