About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT professional to join our team as Assistant Director IT for Strategy and Architecture. This is a key role that will play a critical part in shaping the University's technical architecture and ensuring it meets the strategic objectives of the institution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and maintain the University's overall technical architecture to support the strategic objectives of the university.
  • Lead a small team of Technical Architects and Business Analysts to ensure the technical architecture supports the operational needs of staff and students.
  • Develop and implement service improvement initiatives for students and staff.
  • Manage the information security risk of the university and ensure the technical services managed by the IT and Digital Service are secure.
Requirements
  • Experience maintaining awareness of external drivers on the university and the development of new technology.
  • Proven record of building, maintaining, and supporting technical services.
  • Ability to lead the development of technical architecture that supports the totality of the university's functions.
What You'll Need to Succeed

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of technical architecture and the ability to lead a team of technical professionals. You will also need to have experience in service improvement initiatives and information security risk management.
