Job Description

As a Payroll Advisor at Inspired, you will play a vital role in providing a comprehensive payroll service that meets the company's contractual and statutory obligations. You will be responsible for administering the delivery of a payroll service via an in-house payroll system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all aspects of payroll processing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Run an end-to-end payroll process, including submission of FPS and EPS to HMRC.
  • Capture, validate, and process employee-related data to provide an effective employee administration service and remunerate employees at the agreed frequency.
  • Analyze and validate all input documentation prior to processing, reconciling all managed service output, salary advances, overtime, private petrol, parking fines, floats, etc.
  • Input/update the HR/payroll database on a daily basis to ensure all information received is processed without delay.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, adhering to GDPR regulations.
  • Deal effectively with queries and correspondence from employees and external bodies, including Inland Revenue, DSS, CSA, the Courts, Banks, and Building Societies.
  • Prepare PAYE/NI payments and process international payrolls, submitting periodic returns as required.
  • Arrange payment of salaries and associated costs.
  • Prepare and upload all pension-related data.
  • Assist with Employee Lifecycle administration tasks, including letter writing, recruitment support, and basic HR queries.
Requirements
  • Previous payroll software experience.
  • Thorough understanding of Inland Revenue and Social Security procedures.
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Excel, Word, Office 365.
  • Previous HR experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to seek information from appropriate existing sources to handle tasks, issues, and problems.
