Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at VANRATH. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding our customer base in the foodservice industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exceed agreed sales targets and stretch budget and margin targets
  • Develop the territory by managing a prospect list to secure new foodservice customers linked to the current commercial plan
  • Expand the range that is currently being supplied
  • Maintain all accounts within company credit terms, bringing on new accounts through new business generation
  • Monitor competitor activity
  • Complete all administration such as achievement reporting, weekly sales reporting, record cards and gains and losses report
  • Customer margin targets in line with overall territory targets

Requirements:

  • 2+ years field sales experience
  • Proven experience of growing sales and achieving targets within the Food/FMCG industry ideal (Retail / hospitality / foodservice preferred)
  • Competent in MS Office to include excel and word
