**Salary:** £40,000-£55,000 (DOE) + benefits

**About the Role:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Indirect Buyer / Category Buyer to join our team at Barclay Meade. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of indirect categories, including IT, corporate services, and professional services.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • **Supplier Management:** Proactively manage key service providers, including supplier relationship management, contract change, escalations, risk management, and leading governance forums.
  • **Project Lifecycle:** Involved at all stages of the project lifecycle, including stakeholder and demand management, sourcing and tendering, and contract negotiation.
  • **Escalations:** Promptly address any escalations from internal business stakeholders.
  • **Programme Management:** Support a large-scale programme to transform the way services are procured within the group, involving transition activity from incumbent suppliers to new providers.
  • **Leadership:** May have line management responsibility and opportunities to deputise for senior managers.
  • **Contract Negotiation:** Negotiate and agree contractual terms, pricing, and service levels.
  • **Operational Procurement:** Perform elements of operational procurement, including requisition and invoice approval.

**Requirements:**

  • **Procurement Experience:** Experienced procurement professional within indirect/service-based procurement, including professional services, corporate services, and IT.
  • **Stakeholder Management:** Excellent stakeholder management skills and supplier relationship management.
  • **Travel:** Able to travel to suppliers on a regular basis across the UK.
  • **Problem-Solving:** Ability to identify and develop solutions to problems.
