Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and proactive individual to join our Infrastructure Category team at Matchtech, focusing on procurement activities.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Manage the complete procurement lifecycle for Plant & Equipment initiatives, primarily supporting our manufacturing and research & development operations.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, including engineers, budget managers, subject matter experts, external vendors, contractors, and consulting firms to develop and implement effective procurement strategies.
  • Conduct market assessments to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their commercial viability, utilizing external financial advisors when necessary.
  • Support the commercial and procurement components of business proposals for investment opportunities.
  • Provide guidance on procurement strategies and contracting methods, in partnership with professional advisors as needed.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive Procurement Plans.
  • Participate in and contribute to Project Reviews.

Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will possess a background as a buyer or senior buyer, with proven experience in formulating, executing, and overseeing procurement strategies, particularly in relation to Plant & Equipment projects.

Essential Skills:

  • Contract negotiation expertise.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Able to thrive in a dynamic commercial environment.

Key Attributes: The successful applicant will demonstrate a personable demeanor, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong data analysis capabilities, excellent organizational skills, sound business acumen, mathematical proficiency, a solid understanding of supply chain management practices, strategic planning skills, and accreditation from the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS).
