Job Overview

Vector Resourcing is seeking an experienced Strategic Vendor Liaison to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining strategic relationships with key IT vendors and suppliers.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing vendor relationships, reviewing and monitoring contracts, and developing strategies for contract renewals and risk management.

This is a critical role that requires a high level of expertise in vendor management, contract negotiation, and procurement strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vendor Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key IT vendors and suppliers, including Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, and smaller service providers.
  • Contract Review and Management: Review, monitor, and manage all vendor contracts to ensure terms are adhered to and optimized.
  • Contract Renewal Strategy: Develop a strategy for handling upcoming contract renewals, including vendor negotiations and evaluation of contract terms.
  • Risk Management: Identify vendors or contracts at risk and implement strategies to mitigate any potential issues.
  • Collaboration and Decision-Making: Work closely with the procurement team and senior leadership to make informed decisions regarding vendor performance, contract renewals, and future partnerships.
  • Team Leadership: Oversee and mentor a Procurement Officer, who will provide support with contract administration and day-to-day procurement tasks.
