About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at the South Lakes Next Steps Accommodation Service in Kendal. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals who have been homeless or are at risk of homelessness to achieve their goals and live independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with daily living tasks to promote independence and achieve their support plans.
  • Run customer activities and encourage social interaction to build skills and confidence.
  • Support customers to access external services and agencies to build their support networks.
  • Liaise with external agencies to provide comprehensive support to customers.
  • Work with customers to secure permanent accommodation and achieve their long-term goals.
