Key Responsibilities
  • Directly manage and motivate a team of production staff through effective delegation, performance appraisals, and hands-on leadership.
  • Collaborate closely with the production leadership team to meet or exceed deadlines and ensure smooth workflow.
  • Order and manage necessary materials to keep production running seamlessly.
  • Ensure all team members are well-trained in their respective disciplines, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Maintain and enforce high standards, ensuring all finishing processes meet quality approvals and produce top-quality products.
  • Champion a robust approach to Health & Safety.
  • Provide regular updates to the Production Director and maintain detailed progress reports.
Requirements
  • Experience in metal finishing, ideally including knowledge of plating and paint.
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Familiarity with recognized quality control systems, such as ISO 9001.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead and inspire a team in a safety-conscious environment.
