Job Opportunity: Director of People and Culture

Belfast Met is currently seeking a qualified Director of People and Culture to lead its HR function and contribute to driving the College's strategic objectives. This key role requires an individual with excellent leadership skills, experience, and qualifications.

About the Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Fostering a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes employee engagement and well-being
  • Developing and implementing effective HR strategies and policies that support organisational objectives
  • Collaborating with senior management and trade union representatives to achieve shared goals

This role involves senior leadership, strategic development, resource management, financial accountability, governance, workforce planning, and promoting a values-based organisation. The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately £96,000.

Key Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A relevant degree or equivalent qualification with continuous professional development and 5 years' post-qualification membership of the CIPD
  • Senior management experience in a large, complex organisation with strong leadership and management skills
  • Demonstrable experience of strategic human resource management, employee engagement, and team leadership
Package Details

This position offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:

  • An attractive salary range of £93,651 - £98,598 per annum
  • 35 days annual leave, plus 12 statutory days
  • Teacher Superannuation Scheme with an employer contribution rate of 17.7%
