Role Overview
As a Residential Support Worker at Atkinson Secure Children's Home, you will play a vital role in supporting young people aged 10-17 years old who have been granted a secure accommodation order by the courts. Your primary responsibility will be to provide daily support, promoting their emotional and behavioural development through therapeutic approaches and life skills training.

Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop individualised care plans, focusing on education, vocational skills, and personal growth. Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment, adhering to DCC's safeguarding policies and procedures. Engage with young people, encouraging positive relationships and empowering them to take control of their lives.

Requirements:
Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective relationships with service users and colleagues. Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins. Hold a valid DBS disclosure, as this role involves working with vulnerable individuals. Fluency in English is essential for confident communication within the team and with service users.
