Charles Hunter Associates is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Education Support Worker to join their team in a secure children's home. As a key member of the care staff, you will play a vital role in providing emotional and physical support to young people aged 10-17 with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualised support and guidance to young people in education and vocational skills development.
- Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure the well-being and safety of all residents.
- Manage challenging behaviour and de-escalate situations when necessary.
- A minimum of 1 year's experience working with young people in care or similar settings.
- Transferable skills from ex-military, police, or sports backgrounds are highly valued.
- An understanding of safeguarding principles and practices within a secure environment.
- Emotional resilience and ability to work with aggressive behaviour.
- A competitive starting salary of £25,992 (with potential to reach £27,711 OTE).
- A Secure Unit Allowance of £687 per annum.
