Job Overview

As a Senior Homelessness Reduction Manager at Westminster City Council, you will play a key role in developing and implementing strategies to reduce rough sleeping. You will work closely with partners from the public and private sectors, as well as commissioned service providers, housing associations, charities, central government bodies, and health services to achieve better outcomes for homeless people.

About the Role

This is a senior leadership position that requires a high level of expertise in the field of rough sleeping, as well as excellent leadership and management skills. You will be responsible for managing complex, multi-disciplinary teams, driving high standards, and delivering resident-centric services. You will also be expected to analyse financial and performance information, understand business contexts, and extract key facts to deliver improvements and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and implement strategies to reduce rough sleeping in partnership with stakeholders* Manage and lead complex, multi-disciplinary teams* Analyse financial and performance information to inform decision-making* Drive high standards and deliver resident-centric services* Contribute to the development of directorate-wide strategic and financial plans* Collaborate with partners to achieve better outcomes for homeless people* Provide advice, guidance, and support to achieve service improvement* Translate strategic objectives into operational plans* Manage large budgets and business planning* Quality and performance management* Agile working environment* Disability Confident Employer

Requirements

* Expertise in the field of rough sleeping* Proven track record of delivery and service improvement* Well-developed understanding of the operational and political context in which rough sleeping services are provided* Ability to provide advice, guidance, and support to achieve better outcomes for homeless people* Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation, policy, and practice* Good understanding of the factors that cause homelessness and how prevention, intervention, and accommodation options can be developed, funded, and delivered* Experience of working in a complex political and service environment with senior managers, partner organisations, communities, public agencies, and statutory bodies* Strong interpersonal and communication skills to inspire, motivate, develop, and coach colleagues
