Community Safety Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Community Safety Officer to join our team at Stratford on Avon District Council. As a key member of our Community Safety team, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing projects, policies, and approaches to address local issues and prevent crime and disorder.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with partners to achieve community safety priorities, including violent crime, domestic abuse, and anti-social behaviour.
  • Develop new approaches and find problem-solving solutions to community safety problems.
  • Lead, facilitate, or participate in projects to address emerging trends and identify grant funding opportunities.
  • Work closely with partners, including Police, Councils, Housing Associations, businesses, and the voluntary and community sector.
Requirements

We are looking for a self-starter with excellent organisational skills, experience of successfully delivering projects, and the ability to build relationships and gain the trust and support of statutory partners, businesses, and the community sector.

A Basic DBS check will be required for this position.
