About the Role:

We are seeking a driven and accomplished Senior Tutor for Hairdressing and Barbering Professional to join our thriving educational team at Tameside College. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning programmes in Hairdressing and Barbering, leveraging your expertise to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
Teaching and Learning: Plan, deliver, and develop engaging teaching and learning programmes that cater to diverse student needs, utilizing a range of strategies and learning styles to ensure excellent outcomes.
Assessment and Progression: Assess student progress, devise assessment processes, and develop highly personalized progress targets to support learners in achieving their goals.
Curriculum Development: Collaborate with colleagues to develop and maintain high-quality curriculum materials, ensuring they meet learner needs and are aligned with industry standards.
Overseeing the In-House Training Restaurant: Supervise the operation of the training restaurant, ensuring it provides a supportive and realistic learning environment for students.

Requirements:
Qualifications: Hold a Level 3 qualification or relevant NVQ (or equivalent), with a Level 4 Teaching Qualification (Certificate in Education/PGCE/Bachelor of Education) or the equivalent (DTLLS) to be achieved within 3 years of appointment.
Experience: Possess relevant experience in the Hairdressing and Barbering sector, with a strong understanding of industry standards and practices.
Skills: Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
