Full-time Equivalent Salary: £23,893.00 per annum (FTE)

Actual Salary: £13,533-£14,009 per annum (fixed-term, term-time only)

Job Summary

The Woodlands Community Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to support an individual with an EHCP in Year 5. The contract is linked to a child with EHCP funding.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the child with an EHCP in Year 5, working 1:1 and in small groups
  • Bring learning to life and have a good sense of humour
  • Have high expectations and an unwavering belief in the potential of every child
  • Understand ASC and be able to communicate effectively with the child, parents, colleagues, and outside agencies
  • Establish good working relationships with the class teacher, SENDCo, and outside agencies
  • Have good organisational skills, keeping detailed records and updating assessments
  • Provide support for families and ensure partnership with home and school
  • Develop your own personal practice
  • NVQ level 3 qualification or equivalent (desirable)
  • Use initiative to work in a one-to-one or small group setting
