Job Title: Health Visitor

Job Summary:

The Highland Council is seeking a skilled and dedicated Health Visitor to join our team. As a Health Visitor, you will play a vital role in promoting the health and wellbeing of children and their families in our community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct home visits to assess the health and wellbeing of children and their families.
  • Develop and implement health plans to promote healthy lifestyles and prevent illness.
  • Work closely with other healthcare professionals and community agencies to provide comprehensive care.
  • Provide education and support to families on healthy eating, physical activity, and other health-related topics.
  • Collaborate with schools and other community organizations to promote healthy lifestyles and prevent illness.

Requirements:

  • Registered nurse or midwife at degree level or equivalent.
  • Post-registration qualification in Health Visiting/Public Health Nursing and be registered on Part 3 of the NMC register.
  • Educated to Masters level in a relevant nursing area, or can demonstrate an equivalent level of knowledge gained through, for example, completion of NES modules on Assessment, Leadership, and Critical Thinking.
