About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Team Manager to join our Integrated Care and Support team within Tameside Council. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Team Manager and Service Unit Manager in the organisation, management and supervision of Adult Social Care services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in leading the team to ensure effective delivery of services in accordance with legislation, regulations, guidance, standards and local procedures.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and management of the service, including the development of high-quality integrated services.
  • Line manage and provide support, advice and guidance to social care practitioners within the team.
  • Drive forward the vision of continuous improvements within the service, based on service user views, performance data and stakeholder feedback.

Requirements

  • Relevant professional qualification for the job role at Level 6 or above.
  • Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience in the role.
  • Maintained membership of a regulated body where this is a requirement to practice in the role where applicable.
  • Professional standards practised to the highest expected level.
