Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Welding and Materials Engineer to join our UK & Global IRM team in Westhill, Aberdeenshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting work on tenders, studies, live projects, and Research and Development Initiatives.

Key Areas of Focus
  • Structures, Piping, and Spools: Provide specialist knowledge and expertise to the organisation, reviewing Welding and Materials procedures in connection to Linepipe, Spools, Manifolds, and Towheads.
  • Pipelines: Review and develop material specifications and data sheets for line pipe procurement suitable for S-Lay, Reel lay, and Bundles.
Requirements
  • A degree in metallurgy, materials technology, or a suitable degree.
  • Experience working in a Subsea Materials Engineering position or similar.
  • Good knowledge of applicable materials standards and specifications.
  • Experience in dealing with various departments and external suppliers and stakeholders.
