We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Residential Children Support Worker to join our team in Wirral, Merseyside. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable young people.
About the Position
- You will be responsible for providing day-to-day care and support to children and young people with emotional behavioural difficulties.
- Working closely with the management team, you will contribute to developing and implementing care plans that cater to each child's individual needs.
- Your primary focus will be on building supportive relationships with the young people, promoting positive behaviours, and encouraging personal growth and development.
Requirements
- A minimum of 6 months' experience in a similar setting, preferably in a children's residential care environment.
- Strong understanding and knowledge of mental health principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A full UK driving license is highly desirable, as is a Level 3 Diploma in Children's Residential Care (or equivalent/working towards).
Salary and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary of £28,000 - £34,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits such as paid training and opportunities for career progression.
